She shares her family background of twins (she’s a twin, has twin brothers, and has 10-year-old twin girls plus a 3-year-old son) and discusses challenges unique to twin parenting, especially avoiding comparisons and labels. Maiah describes her kids’ podcast Best Bedtime Short Stories, her fiction writing (including Ways to Say Goodbye), and her small-scale gluten-free/vegan bakery work with local coffee shops, rooted in her own food allergies. She also explains launching her chocolate-dipped stuffed dates brand, Secret Date Society, where to buy them, and the importance of creative outlets, community, confidence, and “finding” vs. “following” breadcrumbs.
